Developing a character is not so simple.  Just kidding.  In fact it is really easy.

The main problem writers have is that they try to "Invent" new characters.  Why?  You have over 6 Billion excellent subjects to work with!

 

That's true.  Just pick anyone and begin describing them.  Keep a notebook with you and write down everything about them as you learn.  Describe the next person you meet in a cab or sit next to on the bus.  Write about your bank manager or your nasty boss!
